Pricing and Basics

Commissions are priced based on the subject matter and level of detail. A simple formula is used to calculate the base price of a painting commission. For example, the base price of a 36” x 24” portrait is currently $7200, while the base price of a 24” x 36” landscape is $3600.

For portrait commissions Jeromy prefers to meet the client or person to be painted to become familiar and discuss details and create a vision for the artwork. A photo shoot is scheduled so that reference images can be produced to work from. Jeromy insists on being able to arrange the composition himself, as well as the lighting. This is because with years of experience he has gained knowledge of what works and what doesn’t, and as the artist he wants to keep the work as original as possible.

A contract will be signed by both parties and a deposit of one half will be made by the client before work will commense.
